This work reimagines a youthful Simpson-inspired figure cast in the role of a judge, using satire and familiarity to confront a serious social reality. Beneath the playful exterior lies a pointed commentary on the disproportionate severity and structural imbalance often faced by minority communities within the justice system—particularly under predominantly white judicial authority.

By juxtaposing cartoon innocence with institutional power, the piece exposes the tension between appearance and consequence, humor and harm. Executed in acrylic and sealed with a high-gloss resin finish, the surface heightens contrast and permanence, reinforcing the gravity of the subject beneath its pop-cultural veneer.
