TURTTLE BOYZ

This work reflects Allen Maldonado’s personal reinterpretation of his favorite childhood cartoon, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, translated through a layered, contemporary lens. By combining multiple mediums, the piece bridges nostalgia and evolution—honoring the formative influence of the original while asserting a distinct visual voice rooted in experimentation and growth.

The interplay of acrylic, watercolor pencil, and resin creates depth and movement, allowing line, color, and texture to coexist dynamically. Finished in an ornate gold frame, the work contrasts youthful inspiration with a refined presentation, reinforcing the dialogue between past and present that defines Maldonado’s adaptation.
